As Jesus sent his Disciples out to the world to spread His life changing message to all people, so also are we sent out to be stewards of the Gospel message to all those around us.
Our challenge is to first allow Christ to personally change us and to seek to live out the Christian life through the Church. And then to go out and encourage others and welcome them to our Church family.
The base from which we serve Christ is the parish. A strong parish provides opportunities for sharing the Good News of Christ, for welcoming those that are searching for a spiritual home, and a base from which we are sent out into the world.
The parish also provides a place for worship, community and education in the faith. To be stewards of the Gospel, we need to be stewards of our parish.
Beloved, your stewardship giving provides the resources necessary for our parish to be a strong home-base of faith through the many ministries and activities of our Church (see enclosed pictures and listings). And it allows us to be strengthened and then sent out into the world to bring others in to the faith.
We kindly ask that you please make your heartfelt Stewardship Pledge for 2017 and prayerfully consider becoming a Torchbearer, Good Shepherd, or Pacesetter (see the commitment form) and bring your stewardship pledge to the Church on Stewardship Sunday, Nov. 20 – or simply mail it to the church office.
Our 2017 parish budget is $419,000. This supports all the ministries and essential parish expenditures listed on the parish ministries summary form enclosed. As you can see, we need everyone to contribute in order to operate our Church and serve our people.
Also, our parish believes in the Orthodox and Biblical teaching of weekly giving – which makes contributing toward your annual pledge easier. (i.e., a pledge of $1,000 is only $20 per week). Simply use the stewardship envelopes you receive in the mail for each week.
We deeply thank you for your gifts of time, talent and treasure to your beloved parish.
Sincerely in Christ,
Council President, Buzz Stapczynski
